Freddy Toledo was born on 29 th february 1960 in Lima,Peru. he lives and works in Roma, with studio at Largo dell'Olgiata, 15 isola 106-2/A - Tel: 0630880194 - Cell- 3394940076.
Personal Background : Toledo attended the Academy of Fine Arts in native Lima, where he graduated upon completion.
Definet as “the artist of the sun, colour and fairytale images”, with his immense fantasy,he describes faraway places, such as the charming and mysterious landscapes of South America.
The villages, fairs and flowers fields he describes in his paintings are a chromatic explosion that captures the viewer and casts him into a fantasy world where simplicity is a display of joy, liveliness and emotions.
An active participant in the international art life, throughout his 30-year-long artistic career, Toledo has taken part in numerous collective exhibitions and personal shows shows in America and Europe.
His paintings, many of which are present in important private and public collections in several countries around the world,have been reviewed in the press by various art experts and critics, such as Collacciani, Zonno, Noli,Bomasin, Corduas, Silletti.
Toledo is present in important contemporary and modern art yearbooks and catalogues,such as the Catalogo internazionale D'artemoderna :MDS, 11 th Edition, published by Cida in Rome. |
